The other night my mind was filled with dreams. Upon waking, the memory of those dreams flooded my mind. The first dream had to do with an upcoming event, a Revival Nights concert featuring Zach Williams. He sings a beautiful song with Dolly Parton, and I just knew she would show up. Dolly did NOT show up to my disappointment, but it was a lofty dream at best.
My other dream was cerebral and unique. My eyes opened in my dream to a beautiful scene. The room permeated an immense light originating from one grand light at the front of the room. I could see what was beyond the light, yet I stood there waiting. A chorus of melodic voices began to sing, with each harmony resonated in every ounce of my being. I could not see where the music was playing as I was engulfed by the intensity of the warm glowing light.
After a few moments, I was told they were ready. Still a little lost, I proceeded as told and found a beautiful bride waiting at the back of the aisle of light. Her smile was familiar, so I reached out my hand. My soul seemed to know hers. She donned a brilliant white dress but wore no veil. As I peered over my shoulder, there were numerous brides awaiting their turn. The sense of purpose was upon me, and I continued to walk her to the altar of light.
All I could see of myself were my hands and my feet. I was wrapped in gold and glowing a little myself. In my dream, I still could not grasp why I was there and why I was chosen. Upon reaching the altar of light, each bride would disappear, and I would be filled with deep honor and adoration.
This dream is as vivid today as it was on September 27, 2024. On the 28th, I hopped into my car to meet a friend for a concert. I took a different route than normal to central Texas. In one little town, I reached a slowdown in traffic. As I looked to my left at a street sign I saw the name: Bridal Path. I felt this was curious and could mean something, but I wouldn’t truly know. This dream felt more like a vision, but I am not certain of its purpose or what it means for me. However, I am so taken in by this, so I went to the Bible to see if God was sending a message to me.
I found a few verses that struck a chord in me regarding this dream. First, I found Daniel 12:3, Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever and ever. (NIV) ………..WOW!
And then I went to one of my favorite verses, 2 Corinthians 3:18, And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
To say that I am still grappling with this dream/vision would be an understatement. I will continue to be still. I want to hear Him and know what He nis asking of me. Then, I will be ready to say, “Here I am!”
